About Us

YouVAH is a non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Himachal Pradesh, India. Its name stands for ‘Youth for Voluntary Action in Himachal’ and it is registered under the provisions of Himachal Pradesh, 2006 (Act No. 25 of 2006) having registration ID ‘HPCD-8391’. YouVAH is constituted by the present and passed out NSS Volunteers from Different Colleges of Himachal Pradesh who came together during the lockdown in 2020 to run a campaign named Mission Digital CoroAware. After this successful mission, they decided to form an organization where all the volunteers from different colleges could work together for social upliftment on a common platform.
The mission of YouVAH is to engage the youth in community services and provide a platform for their personality and skill development.

Their objectives include working for the development of youth, encouraging a sense of volunteerism, collaborating with different organizations for social welfare activities, promoting Himachali culture and heritage, sensitizing the public towards various issues, spreading awareness against social evils, and working for tribal rights, global peace, universal brotherhood, and national integration.
Currently, this NGO is running two main missions on a mass level: ‘Mission Saksham,’ which motivates people to be organ donors, and ‘Mission Gyanodaya,’ which collects old books and donates them to libraries and needy students. Under these missions, YouVAH’s volunteers also provide free tuition classes to the children of slums. YouVAH aims to channelize the energy of youth in the right direction to make society better and make themselves better in every aspect.

Aims & Objectives

Collaborate with different youth clubs/NSS/NCC/Scouts & Guides and other government and non-government organizations for social welfare activities.
Arrange social functions, seminars, lectures, workshops, personality development camps, national integration camps, etc.
Promote Himachali culture, preserve science, literature, and tribal heritage in Himachal, and organize cultural programs at the national and international level for cultural exchange and the protection of cultural heritage of Himachal Pradesh.
Sensitize the public, especially the youth of Himachal Pradesh, towards various issues such as women empowerment, quality education, tourism and culture, environmental issues, social issues, and empowerment of different sections of society. Work for the welfare of the poor, needy, and weaker sections of society.
Spread awareness among members and the public against social evils like environmental degradation, crimes against women, population control, gender injustice, corruption, drug addiction, child labor, and illiteracy.
Work for tribal rights, global peace, universal brotherhood, and national integration.

Mission Digital CoroAware H – Organized a digital awareness campaign to educate and empower the youth about the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Conducted workshops on career guidance and skill development for youth in collaboration with local clubs and organizations.
Organized cultural programs showcasing Himachali traditions and heritage.
Participated in national integration camps to foster unity and understanding among diverse communities.
Conducted seminars and lectures on women empowerment, environmental conservation, and social issues.
Initiated campaigns against social evils like drug addiction, child labor, and gender injustice.
